University of Miyazaki Hospital
The Hospital of the Faculty of Medicine, UOM, was opened on October 31, 1977, as a training center for doctors. It is the regional medical center of Miyazaki Prefecture. The building is seven-stories high and has 632 beds.
In 1994 the Hospital was designated one of the hospitals with specific facilities, and in 2003 got the highest grades after a strict inspection by the Japan Council for Quality Health Care, which proved that the hospital could treat patients by providing the newest and most advanced treatments.
The hospital also aims to contribute to the community by providing the necessary systems for coping with the ever-changing structures of diseases, and also by providing the finest staff and the newest facilities in its departments and central clinical facilities.
